INDOOR SEASON
What is Indoor Field Hockey?
Indoor Field Hockey is a traditional game that involves six players a side including a goaltender. It is a fast paced game with lots of skill and possession play in a small area with similar rules of the outdoor game. The surface of play is on a gymnasium or court surface. Program Information:
We offer Indoor Field Hockey Programs for youth that runs from October to March Annually. Each participant is required to have an indoor glove, mouth guard and shin pads- such as soccer or field hockey shin pads to participate.
All games will be held at the University of Alberta Education Gymn; in the Education building.
Local League Participation and Membership:
After registering for a program- each participant becomes a registered member with Field Hockey Alberta and Field Hockey Canada. As a registered member you will receive individual insurance in case of injury as well as updates from both organizations.
Our club also registers teams in local leagues ran and sanctioned by F/uploads/2/3/4/0/23403094/indoor_2014-2015.docxield Hockey Alberta for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. These leagues focus on friendly competition between local clubs and offers game-like experience to our members.
